Ayzer Danga

I started my music life in the 1960s. It was hard times because of the economic situation, it was very difficult to find music from abroad and to buy an instrument to play. I gathered some stuff and made my own drumkit and also developed a method and I practiced almost every from the morning till the evening.

After I while we gathered some friends in our neighborhood and started a band called Black Spiders and started playing the covers of The Shadows band, which was very famous at that time. We have played with this band a half hour before the movies started in theaters. I met the Mavi Isiklar band in one of these shows, and after a while I started working with them after their drummer left. This is how I stepped into professional musician. It was thanks to this group that I came in touch with genre Anadolu Rock (Anatolian Rock).

I went to the army during the Mavi Isiklar period. After my militatri service I have joined the band  Mogollar. I worked with many powerful singers, including as  Cem Karaca, Nejat Toksoy, Ersen, Selda Bağcan, Edip Akbayram, Erkin Koray and Barış Manço.

Anadolu Rock style is not finished by me and there is still a lot to be done. It is necessary to enrich the Anatolian Rock style by making new inventions with harmonic and rhythmic works. I am sure that young musicians will develop the Anatolian Rock style even more.
